Starbucks Give Good squads spread holiday cheer

Starbucks “Give Good” squads are out and about in their red and green aprons across the United States for the company’s biggest giveaway ever, Project Give Good. Starbucks is surprising 50,000 customers with $1 million worth of $20 Starbucks Cards at community gatherings and holiday celebrations during the month of December.

ST. LOUIS (Dec. 22) the enthusiastic crowd at Winterfest at the St Louis Arch began chanting “Starbucks” before the Give Good Squad started passing out more than 2,000 $20 Starbucks Cards.

INDIANAPOLIS (Dec. 20): The Starbucks Give Good Squad was greeted by an excited crowd at Monument Circle.

PHOENIX (Dec. 19) The Starbucks Give Good Squad spread joy and handed out $20 Starbucks gift cards at CitySkate in downtown Phoenix.

CHICAGO (Dec. 15): The Starbucks Give Good Squad handed out 1,000 gift cards today at the Christmas tree in Millennium Park.

CHICAGO (Dec. 14) While in the Windy City for her Jingle Ball performance, Demi Lovato delighted fans and customers with gifts from Starbucks and Ember at the Oak and Rush Starbucks Store.

DETROIT (Dec. 13): Starbucks partners braved the winter weather and surprised workers, patrons and vendors in the HUB of Detroit with Starbucks gift cards. The Give Good squad also gave out cards to volunteers at organizations such as Detroit Community Mental Health, Detroit Rescue Mission, and the Vietnam Veterans of America hospital.

NEW YORK (Dec. 13): NYC residents and tourists were in for a surprising treat when Starbucks partners handed out Starbucks gift cards in New York’s Rockefeller Center.

SAN DIEGO (Dec. 10): The Give Good squad gave out Starbucks cards as they marched alongside their festively dressed furry friends in The San Diego Union-Tribune Gaslamp Holiday Pet Parade.

SEATTLE (Dec. 8): Give Good squad of 75 Starbucks partners hand-delivered Starbucks Cards to the Pike Place Market’s beloved artists, farmers and fishmongers. They also made a visit with cards to the Pike Place Market Foundation, the Pike Market Senior Center & Food Bank, and the Pike Market Child Care and Preschool.

DALLAS (Dec. 6): David Vobora, founder of the Adaptive Training Foundation and the gym’s athletes shared $10,000 worth of Starbucks Cards to say thank you and spread goodwill with first responders, veterans and the staff at the Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas.

Where will the Give Good squads go next?

Starbucks Give Good squads are spreading cheer throughout the month of December at various locations across the country. The following are a few examples of events happening in the coming weeks: On Monday (Dec. 18) at 5 p.m. local time the Give Good squad plans to gather in Houston at the Discovery Green to hand out cards at the ice rink. On Dec. 19 at noon local time they will be at the City Skate Holiday Ice Rink in Phoenix, on Dec. 20 they will gather at Monument Circle in Indianapolis at 2 pm local time, and on Dec. 22 at the Winterfest at the Arch in St. Louis at noon local time. Check with your local store to find out locations and dates of the Starbucks Card giveaways in your city.
