Leanne Fremar is senior vice president and executive creative director. In this role, Leanne leads the creative development of all Starbucks global brand initiatives and marketing campaigns including digital creative and packaging, as well as oversight of the branding, creative and marketing of Starbucks Roasteries and the Starbucks Reserve brand. Leanne leads a team of more than 100 Starbucks partners at Starbucks in-house Creative Studio in Seattle, and its external creative agencies.
Prior to joining Starbucks in January 2017, Leanne spent four years at Under Amour as Senior Vice President, Executive Creative Director of Concepts – Men, Women and Youth – Apparel & Accessories. In this capacity, she was responsible for the visionary, aspirational, future-focused DNA of Under Armour, through all elements of the product and brand experience. Previously, Leanne spent a decade at fashion brand Theory after roles at Gucci Group and Polo Ralph Lauren.
In 2014, Leanne was named Advertising Age Marketer of the Year and in 2015 she was awarded the prestigious Cyber Grand Prix Cannes Lion award. The Women’s Leader Project and George Washington University have honored her for her work breaking stereotypes and advancing the voice and imaging of women and girls in media. She has served on the Board of Directors for The Fund for Public Schools, and is on the Board of Directors for Surfrider Foundation.
